“Ben Luc. Bob McCoy is trying to talk me into extending for 6 months to get out of the field. That way you get a job like clerk in a base camp and don’t have to go out into the field. Besides that you get a 30 days leave to the U.S. [What do want to bet there was some Army fine print in there somewhere.]… If they keep trying to make this place stateside, I may prefer to be in the field.
