Welcome to the site. Try this string for a how to add an image to a post.

viewtopic.php?f=15&t=1251

If all else fails...email me and I can post them for you. But... as long as the photos you have are jpgs and aren't giant files they should just upload as attachments with no problem. You can add several to one post.

Thanks for the photos. I'd recognize Gettysburg anywhere.....well from back then. The photos Jerry White took of the place a few years ago look nothing like it was back in 1970. ...except for the canal.

If you tell us your name I'll open an album for you in the Charlie section of the photo album.

Great photos bulldog, even though I was never at Gettysburg.
The photo of the three guys, one in khakis has all his medals. I didn't recognize the solid red medal over his nametag,
so I started to do some research on what unit medals were awarded to 6/31st. Unless he was in another unit before, he
was not really supposed to be wearing a couple of those. The 6/31st was never awarded the solid blue Presidential Unit
Citation, and the solid red Meritorious Unit Commendation was never awarded either. But hey, back then you just got
some from the PX and headed for R&R...........
He also has a RVN Gallantry Cross w/Palm, plus was authorized a RVN Civil Actions Honor Medal. You can see by the
dates below, we can (probably) all wear both of them.

But I'll bet that many who went on the short vacation into Cambodia in early May, 1970, aren't aware that you were awarded
the Valorous Unit Award. At least the "5-12 May 70" date seems to fit that timeframe, see below. Not sure what happened on
"6–12 May 68", but from what I read, you had to be in the unit on those dates to wear the medal.
And it's a quite colorful medal, see photo.

See, this is what happens when it's raining outside and I'm bored and have a fast internet connection........

The list below is from the Department of the Army, Unit Citation and Campaign Participation Credit Register dated 29 January 1988.
Here is a link if you want to look up other units................. http://www.apd.army.mil/pdffiles/p672_3.pdf

Patrick, thanks for the name. I see from our contact list you are in Missouri . Hope you make the reunion in June. Lots of Charlie Company guys should be there too. I'll add an album in the Album section under your name.

My buddy in the khaki uniform is Dale Carnege, a forward artillery observer I met back in Long Binh to take our freedom bird back home. And thanks for the photo album set up.

Well, if he wasn't from the 6/31st, his medals are probably correct for his unit.
