Col. Logan's speech at the reunion.

This forum was created for information about the very successful first battalion stand alone reunion in June of 2015. It remains to remember the success and perhaps to encourage planning of another such reunion in the future.

Col. Logan's speech at the reunion.

Postby Niner Alpha » Mon Aug 22, 2016 11:05 am

Col. Jack Logan is the last remaining commander of the 6th Battalion of the 31st Infantry. He took on the responsibility of representing all past 6/31st commanders in addressing the troops that remain and remembering those former soldiers who have since passed on.

Jerry White, Chaplain Burns and James Moynahan also spoke. Former Lt. Moynahan of Alpha was the chairman of the memorial service. Warren Harris of Delta delivered a poem. Col Logan's speech was the highlight of the event and will be remembered for the heartfelt sentiment expressed as well as the significance of who he is and who his gathered audience was.
