A short video from Branson

This forum was created for information about the very successful first battalion stand alone reunion in June of 2015. It remains to remember the success and perhaps to encourage planning of another such reunion in the future.

A short video from Branson

Postby Niner Alpha » Fri Apr 22, 2016 11:07 am

I was looking over a lot of photos John Mc Donaugh took at Branson. Many of them are posted in the site album but many aren't. I noticed this video he took in the main gathering room at the Branson Towers.

Maybe you will see somebody you know... or see yourself. This scene went on every night and during most of the days with a shifting cast of characters and sometimes overflowing all over the building and out back onto the patio and out front.

There will never be another reunion like that one. Click on the image.

You are correct about that....that is, there will never be another reunion like the Branson Reunion. It was outstanding from beginning to end, and we didn't charge anyone a single penny for the reunion itself, nor the refreshments that were provided from start to finish. As you know, the refreshments were totally covered by contributions that we were provided prior to the reunion...and...these contributions were freely made with no solicitations from us. Several men offered to provide additional funding at the reunion; however, we thanked them and told them that we would get back with them if we needed additional funding...and...we never reached that point. The River Boat Belle and Duck Boats were lots of fun, and the Memorial Service, with Billy Dean singing for us (for free), was especially outstanding! As you know we had between 300 - 400 people attend the Memorial Service and it was truly an emotional experience.
