Seems like the "grateful" government offered to give out some commemorative pins to organizations that wanted to have some ceremony and give out the pins to veterans. This way the Government can show how much it appreciates us fifty years after the start of that war. The current defense secretary gave out a half dozen of them at the Wall today...and then went to lunch.

Re: Vietnam Veteran day today
Well, whoop-de-do, it's Viet Nam Veterans Day. Maybe I'll party like it's 1969........
Not sure if I should be happy they finally (2012) made it an official day, or pissed because it took
them 50 years to do it......

Re: Vietnam Veteran day today
Today, March 30, is the official Washington State Vietnam Veterans day.
And again, it took them about 50 years to do it.
So that means that I get to celebrate two days in a row...Wooo-Hooo.........
I just can't believe how lucky I am..........
(I really need a sarcasm font.....
