A Snowy Welcome

Postby Ron » Thu Jan 09, 2014 3:38 pm

This recent snowstorm caught everyone off-guard, including Jan & I who were visiting relatives in CA. We had been enjoying some sunny 70 degree weather over the holidays when we noticed the weather updates coming through the news media. Between what was forecasted and what we got were two separate things; in the long run we ended up with about 17" of accumulated snowfall.
Posting a few winter scenes of areas around our property. For those who don't know what snow looks like this is what your in for if you want to visit snow country!

I'm surprised your flight wasn't canceled coming back.

All I got down here on the Gulf Coast was cold down to about 14 degrees night before last. It's back to the low 60's today. Thankfully. What kind of mess does 17 inches of snow make when it thaws out?
