Gary Johnson

Postby Delta75 » Thu Sep 29, 2016 9:18 am

With Johnson's latest "Aleppo" moment...it appears that I have no one to vote for.....or....maybe this means that my only option is Jill Stein:(

Just in case you missed it...when asked to name a world leader that he likes/respects...Johnson couldn't name one. When pressed, he finally replied "the former president of Mexico"...but he could not remember his name. Sad! Especially since Johnson is the former governor of New Mexico which has a large Hispanic population and borders Mexico. His VP candidate William Weld had no problem naming Angela Merkle.

Looks like I will be watching the election results from Vietnam.

Well .. what "world leader" should he like and respect? No doubt Hillary and Donald would say Netanyahu as their fave. The Israeli Prime MInister was in town to talk to both of them the day of the debate. And...since he was only in town working on ensuring that whichever wins they will support adding to the billions we already give to his country every year..mostly for weapons, bombs, missiles and spyware..by far... more money than any foreign aid we give to any other country or collection of countries. And that would be in keeping with the financial campaign donations in the millions the US based super rich like Sheldon Adelson and the Israel focused pacts have funded by contributing to both Republican and Democrat candidates.

Johnson may have been embarrassed by not thinking of a world leader he admires.. or previously not responding to Aleppo as a place name instead of thinking it was some acronym he was unfamiliar with. But is that worse than Hillary taking hundreds of thousands of dollars on two occasions from one of the Wall Street super banks that played a large part in the economic crash ...and she isn't saying what she told them for their money? Did Johnson commit a bigger gaff than any one of a hundred things Trump has blundered into...like calling women pigs and saying not paying income tax is good if you are smart and how the housing bubble was good for him because he could make some money over the financial pain caused to others?

If like Bernie ..mister chicken little... someone votes for Hillary because they think Trump is just too incompetent will they feel any better when Hillary is President? Will that make them proud of themselves for doing the "right" thing? Johnson has a very slim to no chance...but at least if you vote for him you won't say afterward that you voted for the lesser of two evils.

Vote for one of two evils...Hillary or Trump.....or for someone, Gary Johnson, who apparently doesn't have a clue. I am afraid that Johnson might not have even been able to answer the following question: "Name one other leader in the world?" LOL

Well.... Johnson is seen as a fool and an idiot by some. He doesn't fit the mold we would like.... no Abe Lincoln, George Washington or FDR. But... he created a multi million dollar company that employed 1000 after growing it over time... himself as the first and only employee to begin with. Would Trump have amounted to anything if his daddy hadn't given him several million to start with? Would Hillary have been a successful Senate candidate in New York, her springboard, if her husband hadn't been President?

Johnson is known for his record use of the veto as Governor of New Mexico. He called it the weigh the cost to benefit test. Even with hundreds of vetoes he was only overridden a few times. The state was in better financial condition when he left office than it was before he went in. The talking heads on TV and in the news that berate him as incompetent based on a couple of incidents that certainly look less than complimentary... well that's their business, isn't it?
