Armour David Wilcox III

Postby Niner Alpha » Wed Apr 09, 2014 10:50 pm

From David Gray who was in Bravo and went though the Ft. Lewis training with Armour David Wilcox . David Wilcox was in Alpha when he was killed.

I spoke with David's great-aunt about 15 years ago, she was his last surviving relative. He was a great guy who I knew from basic training, AIT, Ft. Lewis and RVN. His sister lived in San Francisco when we were at Ft. Ord, she was very nice and died not too long after David, per his aunt. He would have been very successful in civilian life had he survived Vietnam. A real good guy!

Photo's sent by David Gray in memory of his friend Dave Wilcox.

Here 2 pictures taken in Nov. 1967 at Ft. Ord, CA. David Wilcox is in his greens, just promoted to PFC(old rank insignia) next to Jim Whitmer(B 6-31st). We left Ft. Ord for Ft. Lewis that afternoon. Sorry about the quality of the photos! Dave Gray
