James "Buck" Buxton

Postby Niner Alpha » Fri Sep 07, 2012 12:25 pm

I noticed in the recent 31st newsletter that James Buxton passed away sometime recently. He is listed in the newsletter as having been in HQ during a tour in 69 and 70. I remember him as being in Alpha Company 1st Platoon, although he probably ended up in HQ company as his rotation out of the field. He was also Captain Lavazzi's RTO for a while in early 1970.

He was a big Louisana boy who seemed always to enjoy being the center of attention. Looks like he died in Youngsville, Lousiana.

I found a link to his obituary. Looks like the guestbook is still open.
