More detail than you probably want to know

Charlie battery 1/11th and Delta battery 2/4th were two of the Artillery units that supplied both enlisted members of the FO teams and artillary fire support during different time periods in Vietnam. Please make a post and make yourself known if you played a part in artillery support.

At my gun nut site a guy from Finland showed a WWII era Finn Compass marked with a total of 6000 mils. Now our compass had, and I understand it is a NATO thing now, 6400 mils. And one thing lead to another..... since I don't mind letting things get that way. Any way, This is a link to the RDP and how direction of a fire mission was begun at the FDC.

If you would like to see the Finn compass, it is in this post.
