Re: The political trial

They acquitted Trump today. With that out of the way, hopefully the country can move on to taking care of important affairs. Even though he probably deserved some type of punishment for his actions, we all knew it was never going to happen. Time to take care of more important things, he is history. .

Re: Old guys like us verdict on Trump

Actually none really fit what I'm thinking, how about banning him from ever holding public office, remove his Secret Service detail forever, the news media never mention him again, drop all charges against him and politicians never talk about him..... ever. Make him quietly go away, never to be in t...

Re: And if anybody still loves Trump

I voted for him and was with him in the early days, but as time went on, that changed. And had high hopes for him until it all turned to shit. Yes, I do feel betrayed, disappointed and embarrassed in all this. He just needs to shut up and quietly go away. It is time to move on...... Although I do fe...

Re: the question of if this site has a purpose anymore

Well Robert, you know me, I'll be here until one of us (or the site) dies. I have gotten a lot of enjoyment from this site over the last 18 years, hard to believe it has been that long. I would hate to see this site go away, but I also understand logistics. Hopefully you will get some feedback on th...

Re: So how does an air assault badge strike you?

There was no CAB in Nam, it didn't start until Sept 2001 and not retroactive for wars before that. Not sure why they would even include that? Looks like not graduating from an Infantry school or course would keep you from getting one, Robert. This is obviously only aimed at Infantry MOS. "AND -...

Re: The Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund

Seems like it would be tough to draw the line on Agent Orange deaths or natural deaths.
I'm sure many that died from what is considered A.O. related would have died from those
things anyway. So I guess that's not the point.
But hey, they served with us so they deserve some honors anyway.

Just looked at my profile and have been here for 18 years and a week. Time flies. I totally agree with Jerry, this has been the best vet site around, and I too say thanks for all the work you and your son have put into this site. Maybe the reunion days are coming to an end, although I have never att...

Re: Larry Heen

That is quite a story, a very sad thing to read. I don't remember any of this as I was discharged and home
six months before this happened, and trying not to think about VN any more.
Read somewhere that many disasters are a series of small errors, instead of one big mistake.

Duvall rang a bell so I looked it up. It's on the eastern edge of Seattle, about 60 miles from me. Small town, only 600 people in 1970, about 8000 now. He is listed being buried in King County Cemetery, since there 40 cemeteries in King County, I found that he in actually buried in Novelty Cemetery ...

I'm not particularly happy with him lately, either. But still prefer him to Sleepy Joe.
So we still all have until Nov. to make our final decision.
