Re: From the timeline 50 years ago

I didn't know about all this because I had already been a PFC (Proud Fucking Civilian) for 2 months.
Was trying hard to put all that behind me and move on with my life.

Re: Future Reunions

Just looked at my profile and have been here for 18 years and a week. Time flies. I totally agree with Jerry, this has been the best vet site around, and I too say thanks for all the work you and your son have put into this site. Maybe the reunion days are coming to an end, although I have never att...

Re: Larry Heen

That is quite a story, a very sad thing to read. I don't remember any of this as I was discharged and home
six months before this happened, and trying not to think about VN any more.
Read somewhere that many disasters are a series of small errors, instead of one big mistake.

Re: Larry Heen

Duvall rang a bell so I looked it up. It's on the eastern edge of Seattle, about 60 miles from me. Small town, only 600 people in 1970, about 8000 now. He is listed being buried in King County Cemetery, since there 40 cemeteries in King County, I found that he in actually buried in Novelty Cemetery ...

Well actually, it's black with kinda' small white letters, and merely a smile on my face...... :D
I'm not particularly happy with him lately, either. But still prefer him to Sleepy Joe.
So we still all have until Nov. to make our final decision.

The ranges on the 105 and 155 are about what you said. The M102 105mm were used on barges by the riverine units and also some were on platforms that were on legs, the platforms could be airlifted. Here are a couple of links you might like....... https://www.militaryimages.net/media/m102-105mm-howitz...

Re: Bladder Cancer

My opinion is that the people that make the decisions about what is covered by the VA concerning Agent Orange, have absolutely no idea where we went, what we drank and ate, or how we lived over there. If they ever were in a combat zone, they were behind a desk or in a clean hospital and have no idea...

The Democrats had to choose between senile and crazy, or just senile.
Looks like they are going for just senile. Their primary was a no win for them....

31st Regiment Reunion

Finally got around to reading the latest newsletter. Saw where they are having a reunion
in Sept., the location is amazing to me. The only thing I can think of is..... WTF is wrong with
you people? Even if I wanted to go to the reunion, I sure wouldn't spend my money to go there.
