The Republican Presidents painting on Trump's wall

This is just too hard to believe. Trump has this painting in the White House. Wonder if he has a velvet Elvis painting to go with it....or the famous one with the dogs playing poker. Looks like Teddy cut one and Trump smelled it and all the rest of the Presidents laugh. https://www.theguardian.com/c...

A collage of different Alpha photos

I picked some photos from Alpha albums that I kinda had stuck in my head for one reason or the other. They are from ..in no particular order of importance: Ron Madewell, Jim Tierney, Rick Akers, John Bullock, Mike Kirby, Mirl Hollabaugh and myself...Robert Stewart

Re: Anybody know anything about Bravo patches?

The guy who had that yellow patch is still trying to sell it on ebay. He is now at $49. However, just now I saw another just like it. The bid is at $4. I don't think either of them are real. The actual blue version is a lot better in detail and it doesn't spell Mekong as MeKong and there is some dis...

Re: What was said then...January 4, 1970

The thing that gets me is that 26 more 6/31st guys died in 1970 after that guy said that the Arvins were doing all the fighting in the delta. Not counting the wounded. At the time nobody knew about the Pentagon papers and what the office of the President really thought about what was happening and t...

What was said then...January 4, 1970

My daughter told me about how I could access old newspapers from my home town online through the Mobile Public Library. So I picked a date. I picked January 4, 1970. That's the date I arrived in Vietnam. I went to the editorial page and read this piece by Russell Kirk. Kirk was a leading wise man of...

Fort Lewis museum is...today.. interested in showing Vietnam history

Saw this post on a facebook 9th site. I posted that I could point the museum associate in the right direction as to some guys from the 6th of the 31st that were part of that history. What she posted was this: Hello everyone, My name is Jenn, I am a curatorial assistant at the Lewis Army Museum on Fo...

He was at the Branson Reunion. He was the 1st Sgt. of Alpha when it was at Ft. Lewis before going to Vietnam. Here he is to the right in a photo with Col. Logan on left and unknown to me reunion attendee in the center. Notice of death: https://bakercountypress.com/2018/09/vernon-bennett-ex-commissio...

Randy, if they aren't inscribed with your name on the back I'd be surprised. If anybody is reading this and wonders how to get a replacement...free one time..... of your medals as listed in your records ....check out this post in the links forum. They will sometimes give you the wrong bolo badge... ...

Re: 1st time VA user - Need help.

The Government will give every veteran ...or their next of kin... one re-issue of their medals and bolo badges if they are asked for by filling out some printed online forms. And the medals will be engraved on the back with your name... unlike the ones issued in Vietnam.

Good surprise Randy.

Re: Another 6/31st reunion?

Looks like the 31st Association reunion will begin hours after Hurricane Florence hits the Atlantic coast with a center that could be over or near Myrtle Beach. Should put a damper on travel arrangements for attendees. To say the least.

Another 6/31st reunion?

The first and only 6th battalion 31st Infantry reunion was in Branson in 2015. Three years ago already. Since that reunion several of the guys that attended have passed on. One guy attended only to die a couple weeks afterward of cancer. Perhaps attending gave him some satisfaction and completed som...

I've showed it before in bits and pieces. I can email anybody that wants one a copy large enough to study it a little better if need be. On it is marked Gettysburg, Chamberlain, FSB Jackson at the very top edge that we tore down in about August of 1970....near where "the island" adventure ...

Re: I moved the Who is Urban Miyares string

A merger has taken place. A publisher with a gross revenue of $80,000 a year, purchased the lesser valued Goldminds Publishing , Urban Miyares' publisher, for $28,000. Wow..... talk about big business buying out smaller business. Maybe they will have to rent a larger UPS store drop box. Wonder if th...

So in the last few days, Trump has thrown more sanctions on the back of Russia because a former turn coat Russian spy got high tech assassinated in England. Military Budget?

They ought to put the military industrial state on a budget. But.... it is politically popular to be strong on defense. The only problem is that much of it is just pissing away money on toys that are unnecessary, or in the case of that expensive Air Force fighter, that has been sucking up money for ...

The fires in California touch one our own

Ron Madewell. E5 Alpha 69/70 lost his home in that fire in Northern California this week. He's got another place where he can live luckily, but obviously he has lost much. There are other guys from California that may subject to the same fate. Keep them in mind.
