Arthur (Art) Decker - Echo Company

My apologies for somehow failing to add this Memorial when Art passed away in 2016. Arthur (Art) Decker served with Echo Company in 1968/69. He passed away on October 9, 2016 in Toms Brook, VA. Art was one of the Echo Company Ft Lewis "originals" who were shipped to Vietnam from Ft Lewis a...

Re: Who is Urban Miyares?

I haven’t even thought of Urban in quite a while. Good to be hearing nothing about him and his “heroic” Vietnam activities.

Reunion Status for Both the 6/31st and 31st Regiment

Hello 6/31st (blind-copied for security purposes), Due to the present virus problem, several of you men have inquired about the status of the two reunions planned for 2020. Please be advised that I am not involved in the planning of either reunion; however, I have contacted the coordinators for both...

Re: Bladder Cancer

My Thoughts on Bladder Cancer: My undergraduate degree, received prior to going to Vietnam, was in Psychology with a strong minor in Biology. My study of biology has led me to many questions as to the impact that Agent Orange might have upon our bodies. I understand that the liver and the kidneys ar...

Re: Bladder Cancer

It is so difficult for me to understand why the bladder would not be considered the primary place to look for Agent Orange caused cancer. The reason being that when we grunts ran out of water, we took water from the large jugs that the Vietnamese people caught rain water in. The rain water ran off o...

Bladder Cancer

Hello My 6/31st Brothers, One of our 6/31st Brothers, Lt Sam Martin, Delta Company, 1969, has been battling bladder cancer for some time now, and as you probably know, the VA has yet to agree that bladder cancer could have been caused by Agent Orange. They have denied all cases that have been appeal...

Re: Virus

We are looking to see if we can find our meds here. if we can we will stay another 3 months...then we would need to come back....my wife can stay out of the country only 6 months out of a year...or she loses her green card. Since Vietnam is not on the "bad" list, we will probably have to p...

Virus

Vietnam is, of course, on the China border, and is doing a much better job on controlling the virus than is the US. They quickly closed their border with China, and schools have been closed for over a month. I checked the other day and at that point they had only 35 cases and no deaths, and 1/2 of t...

Re: Old Joe Biden looks to be on his way

For those thinking that we need our huge military budget in order to be competitive with other countries in the world....not true. I Googled something a long the lines of “Military Armaments by country”, and found us far ahead on all critical military equipment with the exception of nukes where Russ...

Re: Old Joe Biden looks to be on his way

I just wish that some candidate had enough guts to find a way to cover the 30 million Americans who have no healthcare. It would not require Medicare for all. Almost all of the countries having Universal Healthcare do it with a combination of Private Insurance and a government funded option. 50 year...

2020 Reunions

Wondering if the virus fear will result in the cancelation of either the Branson 2 or 31st Infantry Regiment Reunion? If the responses to either or both reunions were not good before the virus scare, we can rested assured that they will be no better now....probably even worse. Thus a cancelation of ...

More lost 6/31st men

Sadly, I bring you bad news about the passing of more of our 6/31st Brothers. These were discovered as I did more searches in an attempt to locate more of our Brothers. William Grant (Echo-1970), Vallejo, CA, 03/10/2002 Antonio Moreno (Alpha-1969), Bakersfield, CA, 10/03/2001 Willie Jemison (HHC-196...

Re: 31st Regiment Reunion

Understood. Can’t you just see a man asking his wife if she is ok with going to a John Deere tractor museum and a Weapons Arsenal, in the Quad Cities, instead of going to a couple of shows in Branson? Both will have cruises on Riverboats. I believe that the reunion that they had planned for Myrtle B...

Re: Anyone planning on going?

I'm not hearing or seeing anything related to Dan Kelley's Branson 2 reunion via either email or Facebook. The last input that I saw, from Dennise (Capt Keaton's daughter), was in early January on Facebook notifying everyone of ways in which they could contribute funding. Since I don't remember seei...

Re: Latest November message

Hopefully this latest email shows that Lt Dan and crew have awaken and see the threat that the 31st Regiment Association early reunion notification poses to the Branson 2 reunion. Most of us can afford only one reunion per year; therefore, here’s hoping that Branson can prove to be a more attractive...

To the best of my memory....the on line request form asked for nothing related to proof of ID. So no...no request for passport info. Maybe it’s an age thing in Texas.

Re: The great Star license crash that is coming

In Texas I was issued a license with a star when I renewed my license on line the end of last year.

No additional information was required. There appears to be a significant difference as to requirements depending on the state.

Re: Who is Urban Miyares?

We not only exposed Urban for the fraud that he is, we also exposed, per their own admission, the 31st Infantry Regiment Association for being a purely “social” organization with no desire to take a stand against wannabe individuals. I am sure that both Colonel Carlson and Karl Lowe are rolling over...

Re: Who is Urban Miyares?

Wow! Look at all of these organizations that bought into his bullshit! He just happened to choose the wrong military unit to submit his “request for help” too in 2014. Little did he know that we had been working on our 6/31st roster for 10 years before he contacted us, and that we had more than 3000...
